A two pack air-drying High Build Epoxy Coal Tar coating. Areas of Application
Specially recommended for protection of mild steel/RCC substrates subjected to continuous water immersion or exposed to marine environment or sub-soil conditions.
Ideal coating for protection of Crest Gates, Sluice gates, Penstocks, Tabular pile, under water structures and pipelines carrying non-potable water. Also, extensively used in irrigation, thermal, hydel projects, port and off-shore installations, shipyards, bridges, etc. This product also has moderate chemical resistance and can be used for protection of conveyors, structural steel, etc., in fertiliser and other chemical processing units. Surface Preparation
Mild Steel
Blast cleaning to Sa 2 ½ for immersion service.
Power Tool/Mechanical Cleaning to St-3/St-2 is an alternative for non-immersion condition.
Hard wire brushing followed by acid etching with dilute hydrochloric acid followed by thorough washing with fresh water and drying. Special Instructions
The second coat of this product can be applied after overnight drying of the first coat. However, in case third coat is applied, 48 hours air drying must be allowed for the previous coat. Safety Information
