How it Acts

AC – CLEAR (SSPL/IR – ACC 30) is a single pack, ready to use APUS (Moisture) Cure Clear and is a well-balanced chemical formulation of selective chemicals, which reacts with the monomolecular layer of moisture invariably present on all substrates. Elimination of this moisture layer tremendously improves adhesion between the coating and the substrate. Any of the loose rust particle forms an insitive coating with the AC – CLEAR. The resultant surface is more ready to receive the coating and thereby increases the adhesion considerably.

Area of Applications

Treatment on all rusted M.S. Stock in storage. In structures such as, chemicals, fertilisers, Pharmaceutical industries, petroleum installations, etc. In Ships, as a first coating before painting. In Ports and Dockyards, where there is corrosion.

Method of Application

AC – CLEAR (SSPL/IR – ACC 30) is a ready to use solution and has to be applied on the surface.

Before application on the surface, loose and non-adherent rust is to be removed by light wire brush and dusting by cloth. AC – CLEAR (SSPL/IR – ACC 30) is then applied and allowed for 2 to 3 hours when surface is ready for painting. AC – CLEAR (SSPL/IR – ACC 30) provides an ideal base and a good bond of paint. It also protects the surfaces from under paint rusting.
